Epson SX110 Reset Waste Ink Counter

Understanding the Epson SX110 waste ink warning
Every cleaning cycle sends a small amount of ink to the waste ink system. Epson SX110 adds that activity to its counter and displays a maintenance warning when the programmed threshold is reached.
Wic Reset Connect is designed to reset the compatible counter in Epson SX110. The physical waste ink system should still be inspected and maintained when necessary.
Reset the counter in Epson SX110
Correct preparation protects the reset key from being used during a failed communication attempt. Verify each requirement before selecting Reset.

Install the original driver
Install the official Epson driver for SX110 and confirm that Windows can see the printer.

Connect directly by USB
Connect Epson SX110 to the computer without Wi-Fi, a hub or an adapter.

Start Wic Reset Connect
Close Epson Status Monitor, run Wic Reset Connect as Administrator and select Epson SX110.

Enter the key and reset
Enter the purchased key, choose Reset and keep the printer connected until completion.
If Epson SX110 is not detected
- Clear paused print jobs and restart both the printer and Windows if another program is holding the USB connection.
- Close Epson Status Monitor and any other Epson maintenance software before starting Wic Reset Connect.
- Install the original Epson driver for SX110; a generic Windows driver may not expose the required communication interface.
- Connect the printer directly to the computer. Do not use Wi-Fi, a USB hub, docking station or print server.

How long does the reset take?
The reset itself usually finishes in about 1–2 minutes after the printer has been detected correctly.
What if the first reset attempt fails?
Correct the driver or USB communication problem first. If the key was consumed, use the new-key generator or contact support.
Does Epson SX110 need service mode?
No. Epson printers do not use the Canon service-mode sequence. Connect the printer normally by USB.
