The counter behind the Epson ME-300 warning
The printer protects against possible ink overflow by monitoring an internal service counter. On Epson ME-300, reaching the threshold can trigger an ink pad warning and block further jobs.
Wic Reset Connect is designed to reset the compatible counter in Epson ME-300. The physical waste ink system should still be inspected and maintained when necessary.
Reset the counter in Epson ME-300
Prepare the computer and connection first. Most unsuccessful attempts are caused by a missing original driver, an indirect USB connection or another Epson utility using the printer.

Install the original driver
Install the official Epson driver for ME-300 and confirm that Windows can see the printer.

Connect directly by USB
Connect Epson ME-300 to the computer without Wi-Fi, a hub or an adapter.

Start Wic Reset Connect
Close Epson Status Monitor, run Wic Reset Connect as Administrator and select Epson ME-300.

Enter the key and reset
Enter the purchased key, choose Reset and keep the printer connected until completion.
If Epson ME-300 is not detected
- Run Wic Reset Connect as Administrator and keep the internet connection active throughout validation.
- Clear paused print jobs and restart both the printer and Windows if another program is holding the USB connection.
- Close Epson Status Monitor and any other Epson maintenance software before starting Wic Reset Connect.
- Try another USB port and a known data-capable USB cable if the printer is not detected.

No. Wic Reset Connect requires a direct USB connection to the Windows computer.
What if the first reset attempt fails?
