Epson EP-705A Reset Waste Ink Counter

What the Epson EP-705A service message means
Waste ink produced by cleaning cycles is collected inside the printer. Epson EP-705A tracks those cycles electronically and can stop printing when the calculated limit is reached.
Wic Reset Connect is designed to reset the compatible counter in Epson EP-705A. The physical waste ink system should still be inspected and maintained when necessary.
Reset the counter in Epson EP-705A
The reset normally takes only a few minutes, but the printer must be detected correctly before the key is used.

Install the original driver
Install the official Epson driver for EP-705A and confirm that Windows can see the printer.

Connect directly by USB
Connect Epson EP-705A to the computer without Wi-Fi, a hub or an adapter.

Start Wic Reset Connect
Close Epson Status Monitor, run Wic Reset Connect as Administrator and select Epson EP-705A.

Enter the key and reset
Enter the purchased key, choose Reset and keep the printer connected until completion.
If Epson EP-705A is not detected
- Install the original Epson driver for EP-705A; a generic Windows driver may not expose the required communication interface.
- Try another USB port and a known data-capable USB cable if the printer is not detected.
- Clear paused print jobs and restart both the printer and Windows if another program is holding the USB connection.
- Connect the printer directly to the computer. Do not use Wi-Fi, a USB hub, docking station or print server.
