Install the original driver
Install the official Epson driver for XP-412 and confirm that Windows can see the printer.

Connect directly by USB
Connect Epson XP-412 to the computer without Wi-Fi, a hub or an adapter.

Start Wic Reset Connect
Close Epson Status Monitor, run Wic Reset Connect as Administrator and select Epson XP-412.

Enter the key and reset
Enter the purchased key, choose Reset and keep the printer connected until completion.
If Epson XP-412 is not detected
- Close Epson Status Monitor and any other Epson maintenance software before starting Wic Reset Connect.
- Run Wic Reset Connect as Administrator and keep the internet connection active throughout validation.
- Clear paused print jobs and restart both the printer and Windows if another program is holding the USB connection.

Correct the driver or USB communication problem first. If the key was consumed, use the new-key generator or contact support.
Does Epson XP-412 need service mode?
