Epson M1129 Reset Waste Ink Counter
Epson M1129 may refuse new print jobs after estimating that the waste ink pads have reached their service limit. Wic Reset Connect can reset the software counter after the printer is prepared correctly.
Before resetting Epson M1129
An ink pad message is a maintenance safeguard. It indicates that Epson M1129 has reached a stored waste ink value that must be reset before normal printing can resume.
Wic Reset Connect is designed to reset the compatible counter in Epson M1129. The physical waste ink system should still be inspected and maintained when necessary.
Reset the counter in Epson M1129
Prepare the computer and connection first. Most unsuccessful attempts are caused by a missing original driver, an indirect USB connection or another Epson utility using the printer.

Install the original driver
Install the official Epson driver for M1129 and confirm that Windows can see the printer.

Connect directly by USB
Connect Epson M1129 to the computer without Wi-Fi, a hub or an adapter.

Start Wic Reset Connect
Close Epson Status Monitor, run Wic Reset Connect as Administrator and select Epson M1129.

Enter the key and reset
Enter the purchased key, choose Reset and keep the printer connected until completion.
If Epson M1129 is not detected
- Close Epson Status Monitor and any other Epson maintenance software before starting Wic Reset Connect.
- Clear paused print jobs and restart both the printer and Windows if another program is holding the USB connection.
- Connect the printer directly to the computer. Do not use Wi-Fi, a USB hub, docking station or print server.
- Try another USB port and a known data-capable USB cable if the printer is not detected.
