Wic Reset Connect is designed to reset the compatible counter in Epson ET-2851. The physical waste ink system should still be inspected and maintained when necessary.
Reset the counter in Epson ET-2851
The reset normally takes only a few minutes, but the printer must be detected correctly before the key is used.

Install the original driver
Install the official Epson driver for ET-2851 and confirm that Windows can see the printer.

Connect directly by USB
Connect Epson ET-2851 to the computer without Wi-Fi, a hub or an adapter.

Start Wic Reset Connect
Close Epson Status Monitor, run Wic Reset Connect as Administrator and select Epson ET-2851.

Enter the key and reset
Enter the purchased key, choose Reset and keep the printer connected until completion.
If Epson ET-2851 is not detected
- Try another USB port and a known data-capable USB cable if the printer is not detected.
- Install the original Epson driver for ET-2851; a generic Windows driver may not expose the required communication interface.
- Connect the printer directly to the computer. Do not use Wi-Fi, a USB hub, docking station or print server.
- Close Epson Status Monitor and any other Epson maintenance software before starting Wic Reset Connect.
