A waste ink counter warning can prevent Epson M200 from printing even when the printer is otherwise working normally. Follow the checks and reset sequence below to restore operation safely.
Why Epson M200 stops printing
Waste ink produced by cleaning cycles is collected inside the printer. Epson M200 tracks those cycles electronically and can stop printing when the calculated limit is reached.
Wic Reset Connect is designed to reset the compatible counter in Epson M200. The physical waste ink system should still be inspected and maintained when necessary.
Reset the counter in Epson M200
Correct preparation protects the reset key from being used during a failed communication attempt. Verify each requirement before selecting Reset.

Install the original driver
Install the official Epson driver for M200 and confirm that Windows can see the printer.

Connect directly by USB
Connect Epson M200 to the computer without Wi-Fi, a hub or an adapter.

Start Wic Reset Connect
Close Epson Status Monitor, run Wic Reset Connect as Administrator and select Epson M200.

Enter the key and reset
Enter the purchased key, choose Reset and keep the printer connected until completion.
If Epson M200 is not detected
- Close Epson Status Monitor and any other Epson maintenance software before starting Wic Reset Connect.
- Install the original Epson driver for M200; a generic Windows driver may not expose the required communication interface.
- Run Wic Reset Connect as Administrator and keep the internet connection active throughout validation.
- Clear paused print jobs and restart both the printer and Windows if another program is holding the USB connection.

Does Epson M200 need service mode?
No. Epson printers do not use the Canon service-mode sequence. Connect the printer normally by USB.
What if the first reset attempt fails?
Correct the driver or USB communication problem first. If the key was consumed, use the new-key generator or contact support.
Can I reset Epson M200 over Wi-Fi?
No. Wic Reset Connect requires a direct USB connection to the Windows computer.
