Epson DX6000 Reset Waste Ink Counter
When Epson DX6000 reports that an ink pad needs service, restarting the printer alone normally does not clear the lock. A compatible reset procedure is required.
The counter behind the Epson DX6000 warning
Every cleaning cycle sends a small amount of ink to the waste ink system. Epson DX6000 adds that activity to its counter and displays a maintenance warning when the programmed threshold is reached.
Wic Reset Connect is designed to reset the compatible counter in Epson DX6000. The physical waste ink system should still be inspected and maintained when necessary.
Reset the counter in Epson DX6000
Start with the connection checks below, then run the reset without opening other printer programs during the process.

Install the original driver
Install the official Epson driver for DX6000 and confirm that Windows can see the printer.

Connect directly by USB
Connect Epson DX6000 to the computer without Wi-Fi, a hub or an adapter.

Start Wic Reset Connect
Close Epson Status Monitor, run Wic Reset Connect as Administrator and select Epson DX6000.

Enter the key and reset
Enter the purchased key, choose Reset and keep the printer connected until completion.
If Epson DX6000 is not detected
- Clear paused print jobs and restart both the printer and Windows if another program is holding the USB connection.
- Try another USB port and a known data-capable USB cable if the printer is not detected.
- Run Wic Reset Connect as Administrator and keep the internet connection active throughout validation.
- Install the original Epson driver for DX6000; a generic Windows driver may not expose the required communication interface.

How long does the reset take?
The reset itself usually finishes in about 1–2 minutes after the printer has been detected correctly.
What if the first reset attempt fails?
Correct the driver or USB communication problem first. If the key was consumed, use the new-key generator or contact support.

No. Wic Reset Connect requires a direct USB connection to the Windows computer.
