The problem

The waste ink counter inside Canon MB5170

Waste ink is routed away from the print head and retained inside the printer. The firmware in Canon MB5170 calculates usage and may stop new jobs to reduce overflow risk.

Wic Reset Connect is designed to reset the compatible counter in Canon MB5170. The physical waste ink system should still be inspected and maintained when necessary.
