Epson ET-2711 Reset Waste Ink Counter
A waste ink counter warning can prevent Epson ET-2711 from printing even when the printer is otherwise working normally. Follow the checks and reset sequence below to restore operation safely.
Understanding the Epson ET-2711 waste ink warning
During head cleaning and normal maintenance, unused ink is directed into internal absorber pads. Epson ET-2711 estimates that accumulation with a software counter; it does not directly measure the physical amount of ink in the pads.
Wic Reset Connect is designed to reset the compatible counter in Epson ET-2711. The physical waste ink system should still be inspected and maintained when necessary.
Reset the counter in Epson ET-2711
Use the sequence below to establish a stable USB connection and clear the waste ink counter.

Install the original driver
Install the official Epson driver for ET-2711 and confirm that Windows can see the printer.

Connect directly by USB
Connect Epson ET-2711 to the computer without Wi-Fi, a hub or an adapter.

Start Wic Reset Connect
Close Epson Status Monitor, run Wic Reset Connect as Administrator and select Epson ET-2711.

Enter the key and reset
Enter the purchased key, choose Reset and keep the printer connected until completion.
If Epson ET-2711 is not detected
- Connect the printer directly to the computer. Do not use Wi-Fi, a USB hub, docking station or print server.
- Clear paused print jobs and restart both the printer and Windows if another program is holding the USB connection.
- Try another USB port and a known data-capable USB cable if the printer is not detected.
- Run Wic Reset Connect as Administrator and keep the internet connection active throughout validation.

No. Wic Reset Connect requires a direct USB connection to the Windows computer.
How long does the reset take?
The reset itself usually finishes in about 1–2 minutes after the printer has been detected correctly.

Correct the driver or USB communication problem first. If the key was consumed, use the new-key generator or contact support.
