Understanding the Epson T20E waste ink warning
An ink pad message is a maintenance safeguard. It indicates that Epson T20E has reached a stored waste ink value that must be reset before normal printing can resume.
Wic Reset Connect is designed to reset the compatible counter in Epson T20E. The physical waste ink system should still be inspected and maintained when necessary.
Reset the counter in Epson T20E
Correct preparation protects the reset key from being used during a failed communication attempt. Verify each requirement before selecting Reset.

Install the original driver
Install the official Epson driver for T20E and confirm that Windows can see the printer.

Connect directly by USB
Connect Epson T20E to the computer without Wi-Fi, a hub or an adapter.

Start Wic Reset Connect
Close Epson Status Monitor, run Wic Reset Connect as Administrator and select Epson T20E.

Enter the key and reset
Enter the purchased key, choose Reset and keep the printer connected until completion.
If Epson T20E is not detected
- Install the original Epson driver for T20E; a generic Windows driver may not expose the required communication interface.
- Close Epson Status Monitor and any other Epson maintenance software before starting Wic Reset Connect.
- Clear paused print jobs and restart both the printer and Windows if another program is holding the USB connection.
- Try another USB port and a known data-capable USB cable if the printer is not detected.

Correct the driver or USB communication problem first. If the key was consumed, use the new-key generator or contact support.
