Why the ink pad counter blocks Epson RX695
The printer protects against possible ink overflow by monitoring an internal service counter. On Epson RX695, reaching the threshold can trigger an ink pad warning and block further jobs.

Reset the counter in Epson RX695
Use the sequence below to establish a stable USB connection and clear the waste ink counter.

Install the original driver
Install the official Epson driver for RX695 and confirm that Windows can see the printer.

Connect directly by USB
Connect Epson RX695 to the computer without Wi-Fi, a hub or an adapter.

Start Wic Reset Connect
Close Epson Status Monitor, run Wic Reset Connect as Administrator and select Epson RX695.

Enter the key and reset
Enter the purchased key, choose Reset and keep the printer connected until completion.
If Epson RX695 is not detected
- Clear paused print jobs and restart both the printer and Windows if another program is holding the USB connection.
- Run Wic Reset Connect as Administrator and keep the internet connection active throughout validation.
- Try another USB port and a known data-capable USB cable if the printer is not detected.
- Close Epson Status Monitor and any other Epson maintenance software before starting Wic Reset Connect.
