Canon G3111 Ink Absorber Full Reset
When Canon G3111 reports that the ink absorber is full, turning it off and on will not normally remove the lock. The printer must be prepared correctly and its counter reset.
Before resetting Canon G3111
Cleaning operations send unused ink into absorber pads inside the printer. Canon G3111 estimates their usage with an electronic counter and can lock printing when that value reaches its limit.
Wic Reset Connect is designed to reset the compatible counter in Canon G3111. The physical waste ink system should still be inspected and maintained when necessary.
How to enter service mode on Canon G3111
- Turn the printer off.

Connect directly by USB
Connect Canon G3111 to a Windows 7, 8, 10 or 11 computer without Wi-Fi or a USB hub.

Start Wic Reset Connect
Run the program as Administrator and wait until the Canon service-mode device is detected.

Enter the key and reset
Enter the purchased key, select Reset and keep the printer connected until confirmation appears.
If Canon G3111 is not detected
- Run Wic Reset Connect as Administrator and keep internet access active for key validation.
- Connect Canon G3111 directly to the computer and try another data-capable USB cable or port.
- If Windows does not detect a service-mode device, restart the printer normally, wait 10 seconds and repeat the preparation.
- Repeat the button sequence at a steady pace; releasing Power too early is a common reason service mode fails.
