Epson CX3905 Reset Waste Ink Counter
Epson CX3905 records cleaning cycles and waste ink usage in an internal counter. When that value reaches its programmed limit, printing can stop until the counter is reset.
Before resetting Epson CX3905
During head cleaning and normal maintenance, unused ink is directed into internal absorber pads. Epson CX3905 estimates that accumulation with a software counter; it does not directly measure the physical amount of ink in the pads.
Wic Reset Connect is designed to reset the compatible counter in Epson CX3905. The physical waste ink system should still be inspected and maintained when necessary.
Reset the counter in Epson CX3905
The reset normally takes only a few minutes, but the printer must be detected correctly before the key is used.

Install the original driver
Install the official Epson driver for CX3905 and confirm that Windows can see the printer.

Connect directly by USB
Connect Epson CX3905 to the computer without Wi-Fi, a hub or an adapter.

Start Wic Reset Connect
Close Epson Status Monitor, run Wic Reset Connect as Administrator and select Epson CX3905.

Enter the key and reset
Enter the purchased key, choose Reset and keep the printer connected until completion.
If Epson CX3905 is not detected
- Run Wic Reset Connect as Administrator and keep the internet connection active throughout validation.
- Try another USB port and a known data-capable USB cable if the printer is not detected.
- Clear paused print jobs and restart both the printer and Windows if another program is holding the USB connection.
- Install the original Epson driver for CX3905; a generic Windows driver may not expose the required communication interface.

Does Epson CX3905 need service mode?
No. Epson printers do not use the Canon service-mode sequence. Connect the printer normally by USB.
How long does the reset take?
The reset itself usually finishes in about 1–2 minutes after the printer has been detected correctly.
What if the first reset attempt fails?
Correct the driver or USB communication problem first. If the key was consumed, use the new-key generator or contact support.
