Epson SX100 Reset Waste Ink Counter
When Epson SX100 reports that an ink pad needs service, restarting the printer alone normally does not clear the lock. A compatible reset procedure is required.
Why Epson SX100 stops printing
Epson SX100 uses stored counter data to estimate absorber usage. The estimate may reach its limit before the pads appear completely saturated, but physical maintenance should still be considered.
Wic Reset Connect is designed to reset the compatible counter in Epson SX100. The physical waste ink system should still be inspected and maintained when necessary.
Reset the counter in Epson SX100
Use the sequence below to establish a stable USB connection and clear the waste ink counter.

Install the original driver
Install the official Epson driver for SX100 and confirm that Windows can see the printer.

Connect directly by USB
Connect Epson SX100 to the computer without Wi-Fi, a hub or an adapter.

Start Wic Reset Connect
Close Epson Status Monitor, run Wic Reset Connect as Administrator and select Epson SX100.

Enter the key and reset
Enter the purchased key, choose Reset and keep the printer connected until completion.
If Epson SX100 is not detected
- Close Epson Status Monitor and any other Epson maintenance software before starting Wic Reset Connect.
- Clear paused print jobs and restart both the printer and Windows if another program is holding the USB connection.
- Connect the printer directly to the computer. Do not use Wi-Fi, a USB hub, docking station or print server.
- Install the original Epson driver for SX100; a generic Windows driver may not expose the required communication interface.
