Canon MG3650 Ink Absorber Full Reset
Canon MG3650 can stop printing when its internal ink absorber counter reaches a programmed threshold. Follow the model-specific preparation below before using Wic Reset Connect.
The waste ink counter inside Canon MG3650
The absorber pads collect ink generated during print-head cleaning. Canon MG3650 tracks those maintenance cycles in memory rather than measuring the pads directly.
Wic Reset Connect is designed to reset the compatible counter in Canon MG3650. The physical waste ink system should still be inspected and maintained when necessary.
How to enter service mode on Canon MG3650
- Turn the printer off.

Reset the counter in Canon MG3650
First make sure the power indicator is steady and no cartridge or mechanical error is active. Then prepare the Windows computer and direct USB connection.

Connect directly by USB
Connect Canon MG3650 to a Windows 7, 8, 10 or 11 computer without Wi-Fi or a USB hub.

Start Wic Reset Connect
Run the program as Administrator and wait until the Canon service-mode device is detected.

Enter the key and reset
Enter the purchased key, select Reset and keep the printer connected until confirmation appears.
If Canon MG3650 is not detected
- Repeat the button sequence at a steady pace; releasing Power too early is a common reason service mode fails.
- Close Canon maintenance utilities and clear paused print jobs before opening Wic Reset Connect.
- If Windows does not detect a service-mode device, restart the printer normally, wait 10 seconds and repeat the preparation.
- Connect Canon MG3650 directly to the computer and try another data-capable USB cable or port.

Correct the cause first, then use the new-key generator or contact support for assistance.
Does the reset clean the ink absorber?
No. It resets the stored counter. Inspect, clean or replace the absorber pads when their physical condition requires maintenance.
