Canon MB2000 Ink Absorber Full Reset
Canon MB2000 may block print jobs after recording enough cleaning and maintenance cycles. Use the sequence below to enter service mode and reset the stored value.
Why Canon MB2000 reports an absorber error
The absorber pads collect ink generated during print-head cleaning. Canon MB2000 tracks those maintenance cycles in memory rather than measuring the pads directly.
Wic Reset Connect is designed to reset the compatible counter in Canon MB2000. The physical waste ink system should still be inspected and maintained when necessary.
How to enter service mode on Canon MB2000
- Turn the printer off.

Connect Canon MB2000 to a Windows 7, 8, 10 or 11 computer without Wi-Fi or a USB hub.

Run the program as Administrator and wait until the Canon service-mode device is detected.

Enter the key and reset
Enter the purchased key, select Reset and keep the printer connected until confirmation appears.
If Canon MB2000 is not detected
- If the power light blinks, resolve the displayed cartridge, paper or mechanical error before trying service mode again.
- If Windows does not detect a service-mode device, restart the printer normally, wait 10 seconds and repeat the preparation.
- Close Canon maintenance utilities and clear paused print jobs before opening Wic Reset Connect.
- Connect Canon MB2000 directly to the computer and try another data-capable USB cable or port.
