When Epson WF-2665 reports that an ink pad needs service, restarting the printer alone normally does not clear the lock. A compatible reset procedure is required.
The counter behind the Epson WF-2665 warning
During head cleaning and normal maintenance, unused ink is directed into internal absorber pads. Epson WF-2665 estimates that accumulation with a software counter; it does not directly measure the physical amount of ink in the pads.
Wic Reset Connect is designed to reset the compatible counter in Epson WF-2665. The physical waste ink system should still be inspected and maintained when necessary.
Reset the counter in Epson WF-2665
Use the sequence below to establish a stable USB connection and clear the waste ink counter.

Install the original driver
Install the official Epson driver for WF-2665 and confirm that Windows can see the printer.

Connect directly by USB
Connect Epson WF-2665 to the computer without Wi-Fi, a hub or an adapter.

Start Wic Reset Connect
Close Epson Status Monitor, run Wic Reset Connect as Administrator and select Epson WF-2665.

Enter the key and reset
Enter the purchased key, choose Reset and keep the printer connected until completion.
If Epson WF-2665 is not detected
- Connect the printer directly to the computer. Do not use Wi-Fi, a USB hub, docking station or print server.
- Close Epson Status Monitor and any other Epson maintenance software before starting Wic Reset Connect.
- Run Wic Reset Connect as Administrator and keep the internet connection active throughout validation.
- Try another USB port and a known data-capable USB cable if the printer is not detected.

How long does the reset take?
The reset itself usually finishes in about 1–2 minutes after the printer has been detected correctly.
Can I reset Epson WF-2665 over Wi-Fi?
No. Wic Reset Connect requires a direct USB connection to the Windows computer.
Does Epson WF-2665 need service mode?
No. Epson printers do not use the Canon service-mode sequence. Connect the printer normally by USB.
