Epson L3117 records cleaning cycles and waste ink usage in an internal counter. When that value reaches its programmed limit, printing can stop until the counter is reset.
What the Epson L3117 service message means
Every cleaning cycle sends a small amount of ink to the waste ink system. Epson L3117 adds that activity to its counter and displays a maintenance warning when the programmed threshold is reached.
Wic Reset Connect is designed to reset the compatible counter in Epson L3117. The physical waste ink system should still be inspected and maintained when necessary.
Reset the counter in Epson L3117
Correct preparation protects the reset key from being used during a failed communication attempt. Verify each requirement before selecting Reset.

Install the original driver
Install the official Epson driver for L3117 and confirm that Windows can see the printer.

Connect directly by USB
Connect Epson L3117 to the computer without Wi-Fi, a hub or an adapter.

Start Wic Reset Connect
Close Epson Status Monitor, run Wic Reset Connect as Administrator and select Epson L3117.

Enter the key and reset
Enter the purchased key, choose Reset and keep the printer connected until completion.
If Epson L3117 is not detected
- Try another USB port and a known data-capable USB cable if the printer is not detected.
- Connect the printer directly to the computer. Do not use Wi-Fi, a USB hub, docking station or print server.
- Clear paused print jobs and restart both the printer and Windows if another program is holding the USB connection.
- Install the original Epson driver for L3117; a generic Windows driver may not expose the required communication interface.

How long does the reset take?
The reset itself usually finishes in about 1–2 minutes after the printer has been detected correctly.
What if the first reset attempt fails?
Correct the driver or USB communication problem first. If the key was consumed, use the new-key generator or contact support.
Can I reset Epson L3117 over Wi-Fi?
No. Wic Reset Connect requires a direct USB connection to the Windows computer.
