Epson L1119 Reset Waste Ink Counter
When Epson L1119 reports that an ink pad needs service, restarting the printer alone normally does not clear the lock. A compatible reset procedure is required.
Why the ink pad counter blocks Epson L1119
Every cleaning cycle sends a small amount of ink to the waste ink system. Epson L1119 adds that activity to its counter and displays a maintenance warning when the programmed threshold is reached.
Wic Reset Connect is designed to reset the compatible counter in Epson L1119. The physical waste ink system should still be inspected and maintained when necessary.
Reset the counter in Epson L1119
Correct preparation protects the reset key from being used during a failed communication attempt. Verify each requirement before selecting Reset.

Install the original driver
Install the official Epson driver for L1119 and confirm that Windows can see the printer.

Connect directly by USB
Connect Epson L1119 to the computer without Wi-Fi, a hub or an adapter.

Start Wic Reset Connect
Close Epson Status Monitor, run Wic Reset Connect as Administrator and select Epson L1119.

Enter the key and reset
Enter the purchased key, choose Reset and keep the printer connected until completion.
If Epson L1119 is not detected
- Close Epson Status Monitor and any other Epson maintenance software before starting Wic Reset Connect.
- Clear paused print jobs and restart both the printer and Windows if another program is holding the USB connection.
- Install the original Epson driver for L1119; a generic Windows driver may not expose the required communication interface.
- Run Wic Reset Connect as Administrator and keep the internet connection active throughout validation.

Does the reset clean or replace the ink pads?
No. It changes the stored counter value. Inspect, clean or replace the physical waste ink system when its condition requires it.
What if the first reset attempt fails?
Correct the driver or USB communication problem first. If the key was consumed, use the new-key generator or contact support.
Can I reset Epson L1119 over Wi-Fi?
No. Wic Reset Connect requires a direct USB connection to the Windows computer.
