The waste ink system in Canon TS703 collects ink used during cleaning cycles. Once the estimated limit is reached, service mode and a compatible counter reset may be required.

The lock is based on accumulated maintenance activity. Resetting Canon TS703 changes the counter value but does not remove ink already held in the absorber material.

How to enter service mode on Canon TS703
- Turn the printer off.

Connect directly by USB
Connect Canon TS703 to a Windows 7, 8, 10 or 11 computer without Wi-Fi or a USB hub.

Run the program as Administrator and wait until the Canon service-mode device is detected.

Enter the key and reset
Enter the purchased key, select Reset and keep the printer connected until confirmation appears.
If Canon TS703 is not detected
- Run Wic Reset Connect as Administrator and keep internet access active for key validation.
- Connect Canon TS703 directly to the computer and try another data-capable USB cable or port.
- Repeat the button sequence at a steady pace; releasing Power too early is a common reason service mode fails.
- If Windows does not detect a service-mode device, restart the printer normally, wait 10 seconds and repeat the preparation.
