Canon MG4150 Ink Absorber Full Reset
When Canon MG4150 reports that the ink absorber is full, turning it off and on will not normally remove the lock. The printer must be prepared correctly and its counter reset.
What the Canon MG4150 service message means
Waste ink is routed away from the print head and retained inside the printer. The firmware in Canon MG4150 calculates usage and may stop new jobs to reduce overflow risk.

How to enter service mode on Canon MG4150
- Turn the printer off.

Connect directly by USB
Connect Canon MG4150 to a Windows 7, 8, 10 or 11 computer without Wi-Fi or a USB hub.

Run the program as Administrator and wait until the Canon service-mode device is detected.

Enter the key and reset
Enter the purchased key, select Reset and keep the printer connected until confirmation appears.
If Canon MG4150 is not detected
- If Windows does not detect a service-mode device, restart the printer normally, wait 10 seconds and repeat the preparation.
- Run Wic Reset Connect as Administrator and keep internet access active for key validation.
- Repeat the button sequence at a steady pace; releasing Power too early is a common reason service mode fails.
- If the power light blinks, resolve the displayed cartridge, paper or mechanical error before trying service mode again.
