Canon MB5080 Ink Absorber Full Reset
When Canon MB5080 reports that the ink absorber is full, turning it off and on will not normally remove the lock. The printer must be prepared correctly and its counter reset.
Before resetting Canon MB5080
Waste ink is routed away from the print head and retained inside the printer. The firmware in Canon MB5080 calculates usage and may stop new jobs to reduce overflow risk.

How to enter service mode on Canon MB5080
- Turn the printer off.

Enter the purchased key, select Reset and keep the printer connected until confirmation appears.
If Canon MB5080 is not detected
- If Windows does not detect a service-mode device, restart the printer normally, wait 10 seconds and repeat the preparation.
- Close Canon maintenance utilities and clear paused print jobs before opening Wic Reset Connect.
- Run Wic Reset Connect as Administrator and keep internet access active for key validation.
- If the power light blinks, resolve the displayed cartridge, paper or mechanical error before trying service mode again.
