Epson ME-303 Reset Waste Ink Counter
A waste ink counter warning can prevent Epson ME-303 from printing even when the printer is otherwise working normally. Follow the checks and reset sequence below to restore operation safely.
Before resetting Epson ME-303
Waste ink produced by cleaning cycles is collected inside the printer. Epson ME-303 tracks those cycles electronically and can stop printing when the calculated limit is reached.
Wic Reset Connect is designed to reset the compatible counter in Epson ME-303. The physical waste ink system should still be inspected and maintained when necessary.
Reset the counter in Epson ME-303
Use the sequence below to establish a stable USB connection and clear the waste ink counter.

Install the original driver
Install the official Epson driver for ME-303 and confirm that Windows can see the printer.

Connect directly by USB
Connect Epson ME-303 to the computer without Wi-Fi, a hub or an adapter.

Start Wic Reset Connect
Close Epson Status Monitor, run Wic Reset Connect as Administrator and select Epson ME-303.

Enter the key and reset
Enter the purchased key, choose Reset and keep the printer connected until completion.
If Epson ME-303 is not detected
- Install the original Epson driver for ME-303; a generic Windows driver may not expose the required communication interface.
- Connect the printer directly to the computer. Do not use Wi-Fi, a USB hub, docking station or print server.
- Run Wic Reset Connect as Administrator and keep the internet connection active throughout validation.
- Close Epson Status Monitor and any other Epson maintenance software before starting Wic Reset Connect.
Epson ME-303 reset FAQ
Does Epson ME-303 need service mode?
No. Epson printers do not use the Canon service-mode sequence. Connect the printer normally by USB.
Does the reset clean or replace the ink pads?
No. It changes the stored counter value. Inspect, clean or replace the physical waste ink system when its condition requires it.
How long does the reset take?
The reset itself usually finishes in about 1–2 minutes after the printer has been detected correctly.
