Epson M100 Reset Waste Ink Counter
Epson M100 records cleaning cycles and waste ink usage in an internal counter. When that value reaches its programmed limit, printing can stop until the counter is reset.
What the Epson M100 service message means
Every cleaning cycle sends a small amount of ink to the waste ink system. Epson M100 adds that activity to its counter and displays a maintenance warning when the programmed threshold is reached.
Wic Reset Connect is designed to reset the compatible counter in Epson M100. The physical waste ink system should still be inspected and maintained when necessary.
Reset the counter in Epson M100
Start with the connection checks below, then run the reset without opening other printer programs during the process.

Install the original driver
Install the official Epson driver for M100 and confirm that Windows can see the printer.

Connect directly by USB
Connect Epson M100 to the computer without Wi-Fi, a hub or an adapter.

Start Wic Reset Connect
Close Epson Status Monitor, run Wic Reset Connect as Administrator and select Epson M100.

Enter the key and reset
Enter the purchased key, choose Reset and keep the printer connected until completion.
If Epson M100 is not detected
- Close Epson Status Monitor and any other Epson maintenance software before starting Wic Reset Connect.
- Run Wic Reset Connect as Administrator and keep the internet connection active throughout validation.
- Connect the printer directly to the computer. Do not use Wi-Fi, a USB hub, docking station or print server.
- Install the original Epson driver for M100; a generic Windows driver may not expose the required communication interface.

Can I reset Epson M100 over Wi-Fi?
No. Wic Reset Connect requires a direct USB connection to the Windows computer.
Does Epson M100 need service mode?
No. Epson printers do not use the Canon service-mode sequence. Connect the printer normally by USB.
What if the first reset attempt fails?
Correct the driver or USB communication problem first. If the key was consumed, use the new-key generator or contact support.
