The problem

Why the ink pad counter blocks Epson L3230

Every cleaning cycle sends a small amount of ink to the waste ink system. Epson L3230 adds that activity to its counter and displays a maintenance warning when the programmed threshold is reached.

Wic Reset Connect is designed to reset the compatible counter in Epson L3230. The physical waste ink system should still be inspected and maintained when necessary.

Step by step

Reset the counter in Epson L3230

Correct preparation protects the reset key from being used during a failed communication attempt. Verify each requirement before selecting Reset.

  1. Install the original driver

Install the official Epson driver for L3230 and confirm that Windows can see the printer.

  2. Connect directly by USB

Connect Epson L3230 to the computer without Wi-Fi, a hub or an adapter.

  3. Start Wic Reset Connect

Close Epson Status Monitor, run Wic Reset Connect as Administrator and select Epson L3230.

  4. Enter the key and reset

Enter the purchased key, choose Reset and keep the printer connected until completion.

Finish correctly: When the success message appears, restart Epson L3230. Allow Windows to detect the printer again before sending a test page.
If Epson L3230 is not detected
  • Clear paused print jobs and restart both the printer and Windows if another program is holding the USB connection.
  • Run Wic Reset Connect as Administrator and keep the internet connection active throughout validation.
  • Try another USB port and a known data-capable USB cable if the printer is not detected.
  • Connect the printer directly to the computer. Do not use Wi-Fi, a USB hub, docking station or print server.
