Model-specific reset guide
Epson Artisan 50 – zresetowanie licznika zużytego atramentu
A waste ink counter warning can prevent Epson Artisan 50 from printing even when the printer is otherwise working normally. Follow the checks and reset sequence below to restore operation safely.
The counter behind the Epson Artisan 50 warning
The printer protects against possible ink overflow by monitoring an internal service counter. On Epson Artisan 50, reaching the threshold can trigger an ink pad warning and block further jobs.
Wic Reset Connect is designed to reset the compatible counter in Epson Artisan 50. The physical waste ink system should still be inspected and maintained when necessary.
Reset the counter in Epson Artisan 50
Prepare the computer and connection first. Most unsuccessful attempts are caused by a missing original driver, an indirect USB connection or another Epson utility using the printer.
-
Install the original driver
Install the official Epson driver for Artisan 50 and confirm that Windows can see the printer.
-
Connect directly by USB
Connect Epson Artisan 50 to the computer without Wi-Fi, a hub or an adapter.
-
Start Wic Reset Connect
Close Epson Status Monitor, run Wic Reset Connect as Administrator and select Epson Artisan 50.
-
Enter the key and reset
Enter the purchased key, choose Reset and keep the printer connected until completion.
If Epson Artisan 50 is not detected
- Try another USB port and a known data-capable USB cable if the printer is not detected.
- Clear paused print jobs and restart both the printer and Windows if another program is holding the USB connection.
- Install the original Epson driver for Artisan 50; a generic Windows driver may not expose the required communication interface.
- Close Epson Status Monitor and any other Epson maintenance software before starting Wic Reset Connect.
