Epson ET-2716 Reset Waste Ink Counter
Epson ET-2716 records cleaning cycles and waste ink usage in an internal counter. When that value reaches its programmed limit, printing can stop until the counter is reset.
Why the ink pad counter blocks Epson ET-2716
Waste ink produced by cleaning cycles is collected inside the printer. Epson ET-2716 tracks those cycles electronically and can stop printing when the calculated limit is reached.
Wic Reset Connect is designed to reset the compatible counter in Epson ET-2716. The physical waste ink system should still be inspected and maintained when necessary.
Reset the counter in Epson ET-2716
Correct preparation protects the reset key from being used during a failed communication attempt. Verify each requirement before selecting Reset.

Install the original driver
Install the official Epson driver for ET-2716 and confirm that Windows can see the printer.

Connect directly by USB
Connect Epson ET-2716 to the computer without Wi-Fi, a hub or an adapter.

Start Wic Reset Connect
Close Epson Status Monitor, run Wic Reset Connect as Administrator and select Epson ET-2716.

Enter the key and reset
Enter the purchased key, choose Reset and keep the printer connected until completion.
If Epson ET-2716 is not detected
- Connect the printer directly to the computer. Do not use Wi-Fi, a USB hub, docking station or print server.
- Clear paused print jobs and restart both the printer and Windows if another program is holding the USB connection.
- Try another USB port and a known data-capable USB cable if the printer is not detected.
- Install the original Epson driver for ET-2716; a generic Windows driver may not expose the required communication interface.

The reset itself usually finishes in about 1–2 minutes after the printer has been detected correctly.
Does Epson ET-2716 need service mode?
No. Epson printers do not use the Canon service-mode sequence. Connect the printer normally by USB.
