Epson ME-535 may refuse new print jobs after estimating that the waste ink pads have reached their service limit. Wic Reset Connect can reset the software counter after the printer is prepared correctly.
Why the ink pad counter blocks Epson ME-535
The printer protects against possible ink overflow by monitoring an internal service counter. On Epson ME-535, reaching the threshold can trigger an ink pad warning and block further jobs.

Install the original driver
Install the official Epson driver for ME-535 and confirm that Windows can see the printer.

Connect directly by USB
Connect Epson ME-535 to the computer without Wi-Fi, a hub or an adapter.

Start Wic Reset Connect
Close Epson Status Monitor, run Wic Reset Connect as Administrator and select Epson ME-535.

Enter the key and reset
Enter the purchased key, choose Reset and keep the printer connected until completion.
If Epson ME-535 is not detected
- Run Wic Reset Connect as Administrator and keep the internet connection active throughout validation.
- Clear paused print jobs and restart both the printer and Windows if another program is holding the USB connection.
- Close Epson Status Monitor and any other Epson maintenance software before starting Wic Reset Connect.
- Install the original Epson driver for ME-535; a generic Windows driver may not expose the required communication interface.

No. Epson printers do not use the Canon service-mode sequence. Connect the printer normally by USB.
