Epson ME-310 Reset Waste Ink Counter
Epson ME-310 records cleaning cycles and waste ink usage in an internal counter. When that value reaches its programmed limit, printing can stop until the counter is reset.
What the Epson ME-310 service message means
An ink pad message is a maintenance safeguard. It indicates that Epson ME-310 has reached a stored waste ink value that must be reset before normal printing can resume.
Wic Reset Connect is designed to reset the compatible counter in Epson ME-310. The physical waste ink system should still be inspected and maintained when necessary.
Reset the counter in Epson ME-310
Prepare the computer and connection first. Most unsuccessful attempts are caused by a missing original driver, an indirect USB connection or another Epson utility using the printer.

Install the original driver
Install the official Epson driver for ME-310 and confirm that Windows can see the printer.

Connect directly by USB
Connect Epson ME-310 to the computer without Wi-Fi, a hub or an adapter.

Start Wic Reset Connect
Close Epson Status Monitor, run Wic Reset Connect as Administrator and select Epson ME-310.

Enter the key and reset
Enter the purchased key, choose Reset and keep the printer connected until completion.
If Epson ME-310 is not detected
- Run Wic Reset Connect as Administrator and keep the internet connection active throughout validation.
- Connect the printer directly to the computer. Do not use Wi-Fi, a USB hub, docking station or print server.
- Close Epson Status Monitor and any other Epson maintenance software before starting Wic Reset Connect.
- Clear paused print jobs and restart both the printer and Windows if another program is holding the USB connection.

Does the reset clean or replace the ink pads?
No. It changes the stored counter value. Inspect, clean or replace the physical waste ink system when its condition requires it.
How long does the reset take?
The reset itself usually finishes in about 1–2 minutes after the printer has been detected correctly.
Can I reset Epson ME-310 over Wi-Fi?
No. Wic Reset Connect requires a direct USB connection to the Windows computer.
