Why Epson CX5900 stops printing
Waste ink produced by cleaning cycles is collected inside the printer. Epson CX5900 tracks those cycles electronically and can stop printing when the calculated limit is reached.
Wic Reset Connect is designed to reset the compatible counter in Epson CX5900. The physical waste ink system should still be inspected and maintained when necessary.
Reset the counter in Epson CX5900
Use the sequence below to establish a stable USB connection and clear the waste ink counter.

Install the original driver
Install the official Epson driver for CX5900 and confirm that Windows can see the printer.

Connect directly by USB
Connect Epson CX5900 to the computer without Wi-Fi, a hub or an adapter.

Start Wic Reset Connect
Close Epson Status Monitor, run Wic Reset Connect as Administrator and select Epson CX5900.

Enter the key and reset
Enter the purchased key, choose Reset and keep the printer connected until completion.
If Epson CX5900 is not detected
- Install the original Epson driver for CX5900; a generic Windows driver may not expose the required communication interface.
- Close Epson Status Monitor and any other Epson maintenance software before starting Wic Reset Connect.
- Clear paused print jobs and restart both the printer and Windows if another program is holding the USB connection.
- Try another USB port and a known data-capable USB cable if the printer is not detected.

Correct the driver or USB communication problem first. If the key was consumed, use the new-key generator or contact support.
