Canon TS8252 Ink Absorber Full Reset
An absorber warning on Canon TS8252 does not necessarily mean that the printer is mechanically damaged. The software counter and the physical pads must be considered separately.
The waste ink counter inside Canon TS8252
The absorber pads collect ink generated during print-head cleaning. Canon TS8252 tracks those maintenance cycles in memory rather than measuring the pads directly.
Wic Reset Connect is designed to reset the compatible counter in Canon TS8252. The physical waste ink system should still be inspected and maintained when necessary.
How to enter service mode on Canon TS8252
- Turn the printer off.

Run the program as Administrator and wait until the Canon service-mode device is detected.

Enter the key and reset
Enter the purchased key, select Reset and keep the printer connected until confirmation appears.
If Canon TS8252 is not detected
- Run Wic Reset Connect as Administrator and keep internet access active for key validation.
- Repeat the button sequence at a steady pace; releasing Power too early is a common reason service mode fails.
- Connect Canon TS8252 directly to the computer and try another data-capable USB cable or port.
- Close Canon maintenance utilities and clear paused print jobs before opening Wic Reset Connect.
