When Canon MG5600 reports that the ink absorber is full, turning it off and on will not normally remove the lock. The printer must be prepared correctly and its counter reset.

Cleaning operations send unused ink into absorber pads inside the printer. Canon MG5600 estimates their usage with an electronic counter and can lock printing when that value reaches its limit.

How to enter service mode on Canon MG5600
- Turn the printer off.

- Repeat the button sequence at a steady pace; releasing Power too early is a common reason service mode fails.
- Close Canon maintenance utilities and clear paused print jobs before opening Wic Reset Connect.
- If the power light blinks, resolve the displayed cartridge, paper or mechanical error before trying service mode again.
- If Windows does not detect a service-mode device, restart the printer normally, wait 10 seconds and repeat the preparation.
