Canon TR150 Ink Absorber Full Reset
An absorber warning on Canon TR150 does not necessarily mean that the printer is mechanically damaged. The software counter and the physical pads must be considered separately.
What the Canon TR150 service message means
The absorber pads collect ink generated during print-head cleaning. Canon TR150 tracks those maintenance cycles in memory rather than measuring the pads directly.
Wic Reset Connect is designed to reset the compatible counter in Canon TR150. The physical waste ink system should still be inspected and maintained when necessary.
How to enter service mode on Canon TR150
- Turn the printer off.
- Press and hold Stop/Reset.
- While holding Stop/Reset, press and hold Power.
- Release Stop/Reset but keep holding Power.
- Press and release Stop/Reset 5 times.
- Wait briefly, then release Power. The power indicator should remain steadily lit.
Reset the counter in Canon TR150

Run the program as Administrator and wait until the Canon service-mode device is detected.

Enter the key and reset
Enter the purchased key, select Reset and keep the printer connected until confirmation appears.
If Canon TR150 is not detected
- Close Canon maintenance utilities and clear paused print jobs before opening Wic Reset Connect.
- Repeat the button sequence at a steady pace; releasing Power too early is a common reason service mode fails.
- If Windows does not detect a service-mode device, restart the printer normally, wait 10 seconds and repeat the preparation.
- Connect Canon TR150 directly to the computer and try another data-capable USB cable or port.
