Canon - Methods of entering service mode

 

Canon – G, TS, TR series

  1. Turn off your Canon printer.
  2. Press and hold the Canon printer’s RESET button.
  3. Press and hold the printer’s POWER button (wait a moment for the printer to turn on).
  4. Release the RESET button but continue to hold the POWER button.
  5. While holding the POWER button, press and release the RESET button 5 times.
  6. After pressing and releasing the RESET button for the 5th time, wait a moment before releasing the POWER button.
 

Canon – MG series

  1. Turn off your Canon printer.
  2. Press and hold the RESET button on your Canon printer.
  3. Press and hold the printer’s POWER button (wait a moment for the printer to turn on).
  4. Release the RESET button but continue to hold the POWER button.
  5. While holding the POWER button, press and release the RESET button 6 times for printers without scanners, press it 6 times.
  6. After pressing and releasing the RESET button the specified number of times, wait a moment before releasing the POWER button.
 

Canon – MP series

  1. Turn off your Canon printer.
  2. Press and hold the RESET button on your Canon printer.
  3. Press and hold the printer’s POWER button (wait a moment for the printer to turn on).
  4. Release the RESET button but continue to hold the POWER button.
  5. While holding the POWER button, press and release the RESET button 2 times for printers without scanners, press it 6 times.
  6. After pressing and releasing the RESET button the specified number of times, wait a moment before releasing the POWER button.
 

Canon – G1411/2411/G3411

  1. Turn off your Canon printer.
  2. Press and hold the “+” (plus) button on your Canon printer.
  3. While holding the “+” button, press and hold the printer’s POWER button (wait a moment for the printer to turn on).
  4. Release the “+” button but continue holding the POWER button.
  5. While still holding the POWER button, press and release the RESET button on your Canon printer 5 times.
  6. After pressing and releasing the RESET button for the 5th time, wait a moment before releasing the POWER button.
 

Canon – iP3600 Series, iP4600 Series, MP240 Series, MP550 Series

  1. Turn off your Canon printer.
  2. Press and hold the RESET button on your Canon printer.
  3. While holding the RESET button, press and hold the printer’s POWER button (wait a moment for the printer to turn on).
  4. Release the RESET button but continue to hold the POWER button.
  5. While still holding the POWER button, press and release the RESET button 2 times.
  6. After pressing and releasing the RESET button for the 2nd time, wait a moment before releasing the POWER button.
  7. If your printer has a touchscreen, you will need to hold down the area on the screen where the resume/cancel button is usually located.

Canon – iP2700 series, iP4800 series, MG5100 series

  1. Turn off your Canon printer.
  2. Press and hold the RESET button on your Canon printer.
  3. While holding the RESET button, press and hold the printer’s POWER button (wait a moment for the printer to turn on).
  4. Release the RESET button but continue holding the POWER button.
  5. While still holding the POWER button, press and release the RESET button 5 times.
  6. After pressing and releasing the RESET button a 5th time, wait a while and then release the POWER button.
    If your printer has a touchscreen, you’ll need to hold down the area on the screen where the resume/cancel button usually appears.

Canon – MG8150

  1. Turn off the printer.
  2. Press and hold the Cancel button (If your printer has a touchscreen, you need to hold down the area on the screen where the resume/cancel button usually appears).
  3. Press and hold the Power button.
  4. Release the Cancel (or Resume if that was the intended button based on your printer’s design) button and wait 5 to 10 seconds, then press the Cancel (or Resume) button 5 times.
  5. Release the Power button.

Canon – TS8000 :TS8010 TS8020 TS8040 TS8050 TS8030 TS8052 TS8053 TS8060 TS8070

  1. Turn off the printer.
  2. Press and hold the HOME button (if your printer has a touchscreen, hold the area on the screen in the upper left corner of the display).
  3. While holding the HOME button, press and hold the Power button.
  4. Release the HOME button, and then press the Cancel button (located in the upper right corner of the display) 5 times.
  5. Release the Power button.
