Epson L313 Reset Waste Ink Counter
Epson L313 may refuse new print jobs after estimating that the waste ink pads have reached their service limit. Wic Reset Connect can reset the software counter after the printer is prepared correctly.
Before resetting Epson L313
During head cleaning and normal maintenance, unused ink is directed into internal absorber pads. Epson L313 estimates that accumulation with a software counter; it does not directly measure the physical amount of ink in the pads.
Wic Reset Connect is designed to reset the compatible counter in Epson L313. The physical waste ink system should still be inspected and maintained when necessary.
Reset the counter in Epson L313
Prepare the computer and connection first. Most unsuccessful attempts are caused by a missing original driver, an indirect USB connection or another Epson utility using the printer.
-
Install the original driver
Install the official Epson driver for L313 and confirm that Windows can see the printer.
-
Connect directly by USB
Connect Epson L313 to the computer without Wi-Fi, a hub or an adapter.
-
Start Wic Reset Connect
Close Epson Status Monitor, run Wic Reset Connect as Administrator and select Epson L313.
-
Enter the key and reset
Enter the purchased key, choose Reset and keep the printer connected until completion.
If Epson L313 is not detected
- Connect the printer directly to the computer. Do not use Wi-Fi, a USB hub, docking station or print server.
- Install the original Epson driver for L313; a generic Windows driver may not expose the required communication interface.
- Try another USB port and a known data-capable USB cable if the printer is not detected.
- Clear paused print jobs and restart both the printer and Windows if another program is holding the USB connection.
