Epson PX659 Reset Waste Ink Counter
If your Epson PX659 has stopped with an ink pad or service-life warning, the printer may have reached its waste ink counter limit. This model-specific guide explains what the message means and how to complete the reset with Wic Reset Connect.
Before resetting Epson PX659
Waste ink produced by cleaning cycles is collected inside the printer. Epson PX659 tracks those cycles electronically and can stop printing when the calculated limit is reached.
Wic Reset Connect is designed to reset the compatible counter in Epson PX659. The physical waste ink system should still be inspected and maintained when necessary.
Reset the counter in Epson PX659
Use the sequence below to establish a stable USB connection and clear the waste ink counter.

Install the original driver
Install the official Epson driver for PX659 and confirm that Windows can see the printer.

Connect directly by USB
Connect Epson PX659 to the computer without Wi-Fi, a hub or an adapter.

Start Wic Reset Connect
Close Epson Status Monitor, run Wic Reset Connect as Administrator and select Epson PX659.

Enter the key and reset
Enter the purchased key, choose Reset and keep the printer connected until completion.
If Epson PX659 is not detected
- Close Epson Status Monitor and any other Epson maintenance software before starting Wic Reset Connect.
- Clear paused print jobs and restart both the printer and Windows if another program is holding the USB connection.
- Try another USB port and a known data-capable USB cable if the printer is not detected.
- Install the original Epson driver for PX659; a generic Windows driver may not expose the required communication interface.
