Epson XP-323 Reset Waste Ink Counter
A waste ink counter warning can prevent Epson XP-323 from printing even when the printer is otherwise working normally. Follow the checks and reset sequence below to restore operation safely.
The counter behind the Epson XP-323 warning
During head cleaning and normal maintenance, unused ink is directed into internal absorber pads. Epson XP-323 estimates that accumulation with a software counter; it does not directly measure the physical amount of ink in the pads.
Wic Reset Connect is designed to reset the compatible counter in Epson XP-323. The physical waste ink system should still be inspected and maintained when necessary.
Reset the counter in Epson XP-323
The reset normally takes only a few minutes, but the printer must be detected correctly before the key is used.

If Epson XP-323 is not detected
- Try another USB port and a known data-capable USB cable if the printer is not detected.
- Connect the printer directly to the computer. Do not use Wi-Fi, a USB hub, docking station or print server.
- Install the original Epson driver for XP-323; a generic Windows driver may not expose the required communication interface.
- Clear paused print jobs and restart both the printer and Windows if another program is holding the USB connection.
