Understanding the Canon MB2700 ink absorber warning
Waste ink is routed away from the print head and retained inside the printer. The firmware in Canon MB2700 calculates usage and may stop new jobs to reduce overflow risk.
Wic Reset Connect is designed to reset the compatible counter in Canon MB2700. The physical waste ink system should still be inspected and maintained when necessary.
How to enter service mode on Canon MB2700
- Turn the printer off.

Connect directly by USB
Connect Canon MB2700 to a Windows 7, 8, 10 or 11 computer without Wi-Fi or a USB hub.

Start Wic Reset Connect
Run the program as Administrator and wait until the Canon service-mode device is detected.

Enter the key and reset
Enter the purchased key, select Reset and keep the printer connected until confirmation appears.
If Canon MB2700 is not detected
- Connect Canon MB2700 directly to the computer and try another data-capable USB cable or port.
- Repeat the button sequence at a steady pace; releasing Power too early is a common reason service mode fails.
- Close Canon maintenance utilities and clear paused print jobs before opening Wic Reset Connect.
- Run Wic Reset Connect as Administrator and keep internet access active for key validation.
