Understanding the Epson XP-310 waste ink warning
During head cleaning and normal maintenance, unused ink is directed into internal absorber pads. Epson XP-310 estimates that accumulation with a software counter; it does not directly measure the physical amount of ink in the pads.
Wic Reset Connect is designed to reset the compatible counter in Epson XP-310. The physical waste ink system should still be inspected and maintained when necessary.

Install the official Epson driver for XP-310 and confirm that Windows can see the printer.

Connect directly by USB
Connect Epson XP-310 to the computer without Wi-Fi, a hub or an adapter.

Close Epson Status Monitor, run Wic Reset Connect as Administrator and select Epson XP-310.

Enter the key and reset
Enter the purchased key, choose Reset and keep the printer connected until completion.
