Epson XP-104 Reset Waste Ink Counter
The service-required message on Epson XP-104 often relates to the internal waste ink counter rather than an empty cartridge or paper fault. The steps below help you confirm and resolve that condition.
Understanding the Epson XP-104 waste ink warning
During head cleaning and normal maintenance, unused ink is directed into internal absorber pads. Epson XP-104 estimates that accumulation with a software counter; it does not directly measure the physical amount of ink in the pads.
Wic Reset Connect is designed to reset the compatible counter in Epson XP-104. The physical waste ink system should still be inspected and maintained when necessary.
