Epson WorkForce 60 Reset Waste Ink Counter
Epson WorkForce 60 records cleaning cycles and waste ink usage in an internal counter. When that value reaches its programmed limit, printing can stop until the counter is reset.
What the Epson WorkForce 60 service message means
Waste ink produced by cleaning cycles is collected inside the printer. Epson WorkForce 60 tracks those cycles electronically and can stop printing when the calculated limit is reached.
Wic Reset Connect is designed to reset the compatible counter in Epson WorkForce 60. The physical waste ink system should still be inspected and maintained when necessary.
Reset the counter in Epson WorkForce 60
Prepare the computer and connection first. Most unsuccessful attempts are caused by a missing original driver, an indirect USB connection or another Epson utility using the printer.

Install the original driver
Install the official Epson driver for WorkForce 60 and confirm that Windows can see the printer.

Connect directly by USB
Connect Epson WorkForce 60 to the computer without Wi-Fi, a hub or an adapter.

Start Wic Reset Connect
Close Epson Status Monitor, run Wic Reset Connect as Administrator and select Epson WorkForce 60.

Enter the key and reset
Enter the purchased key, choose Reset and keep the printer connected until completion.
If Epson WorkForce 60 is not detected
- Install the original Epson driver for WorkForce 60; a generic Windows driver may not expose the required communication interface.
- Connect the printer directly to the computer. Do not use Wi-Fi, a USB hub, docking station or print server.
- Clear paused print jobs and restart both the printer and Windows if another program is holding the USB connection.
- Close Epson Status Monitor and any other Epson maintenance software before starting Wic Reset Connect.

How long does the reset take?
The reset itself usually finishes in about 1–2 minutes after the printer has been detected correctly.
What if the first reset attempt fails?
Correct the driver or USB communication problem first. If the key was consumed, use the new-key generator or contact support.
Does the reset clean or replace the ink pads?
No. It changes the stored counter value. Inspect, clean or replace the physical waste ink system when its condition requires it.
