The problem

Why Epson L310 stops printing

Waste ink produced by cleaning cycles is collected inside the printer. Epson L310 tracks those cycles electronically and can stop printing when the calculated limit is reached.

Wic Reset Connect is designed to reset the compatible counter in Epson L310. The physical waste ink system should still be inspected and maintained when necessary.

Step by step

Reset the counter in Epson L310

Prepare the computer and connection first. Most unsuccessful attempts are caused by a missing original driver, an indirect USB connection or another Epson utility using the printer.

  1. Install the original driver

Install the official Epson driver for L310 and confirm that Windows can see the printer.

  2. Connect directly by USB

Connect Epson L310 to the computer without Wi-Fi, a hub or an adapter.

  3. Start Wic Reset Connect

Close Epson Status Monitor, run Wic Reset Connect as Administrator and select Epson L310.

  4. Enter the key and reset

Enter the purchased key, choose Reset and keep the printer connected until completion.

Finish correctly: When the success message appears, restart Epson L310. Allow Windows to detect the printer again before sending a test page.
If Epson L310 is not detected
  • Clear paused print jobs and restart both the printer and Windows if another program is holding the USB connection.
  • Install the original Epson driver for L310; a generic Windows driver may not expose the required communication interface.
  • Connect the printer directly to the computer. Do not use Wi-Fi, a USB hub, docking station or print server.
  • Try another USB port and a known data-capable USB cable if the printer is not detected.

Common questions

Epson L310 reset FAQ

How long does the reset take?

The reset itself usually finishes in about 1–2 minutes after the printer has been detected correctly.

Does the reset clean or replace the ink pads?

No. It changes the stored counter value. Inspect, clean or replace the physical waste ink system when its condition requires it.

What if the first reset attempt fails?

Correct the driver or USB communication problem first. If the key was consumed, use the new-key generator or contact support.
