Epson DX8450 Reset Waste Ink Counter
A waste ink counter warning can prevent Epson DX8450 from printing even when the printer is otherwise working normally. Follow the checks and reset sequence below to restore operation safely.
Understanding the Epson DX8450 waste ink warning
An ink pad message is a maintenance safeguard. It indicates that Epson DX8450 has reached a stored waste ink value that must be reset before normal printing can resume.
Wic Reset Connect is designed to reset the compatible counter in Epson DX8450. The physical waste ink system should still be inspected and maintained when necessary.

Epson DX8450 reset FAQ
Does the reset clean or replace the ink pads?
No. It changes the stored counter value. Inspect, clean or replace the physical waste ink system when its condition requires it.
How long does the reset take?
The reset itself usually finishes in about 1–2 minutes after the printer has been detected correctly.
What if the first reset attempt fails?
Correct the driver or USB communication problem first. If the key was consumed, use the new-key generator or contact support.
