Canon G6050 Ink Absorber Full Reset
An absorber warning on Canon G6050 does not necessarily mean that the printer is mechanically damaged. The software counter and the physical pads must be considered separately.
Why Canon G6050 reports an absorber error
Waste ink is routed away from the print head and retained inside the printer. The firmware in Canon G6050 calculates usage and may stop new jobs to reduce overflow risk.

How to enter service mode on Canon G6050
- Turn the printer off.

Connect directly by USB
Connect Canon G6050 to a Windows 7, 8, 10 or 11 computer without Wi-Fi or a USB hub.

Run the program as Administrator and wait until the Canon service-mode device is detected.

Enter the key and reset
Enter the purchased key, select Reset and keep the printer connected until confirmation appears.
If Canon G6050 is not detected
- Connect Canon G6050 directly to the computer and try another data-capable USB cable or port.
- If Windows does not detect a service-mode device, restart the printer normally, wait 10 seconds and repeat the preparation.
- Run Wic Reset Connect as Administrator and keep internet access active for key validation.
- If the power light blinks, resolve the displayed cartridge, paper or mechanical error before trying service mode again.
