Epson L3257 Reset Waste Ink Counter
When Epson L3257 reports that an ink pad needs service, restarting the printer alone normally does not clear the lock. A compatible reset procedure is required.
Why Epson L3257 stops printing
The printer protects against possible ink overflow by monitoring an internal service counter. On Epson L3257, reaching the threshold can trigger an ink pad warning and block further jobs.
Wic Reset Connect is designed to reset the compatible counter in Epson L3257. The physical waste ink system should still be inspected and maintained when necessary.
Reset the counter in Epson L3257
The reset normally takes only a few minutes, but the printer must be detected correctly before the key is used.

Install the original driver
Install the official Epson driver for L3257 and confirm that Windows can see the printer.

Connect directly by USB
Connect Epson L3257 to the computer without Wi-Fi, a hub or an adapter.

Start Wic Reset Connect
Close Epson Status Monitor, run Wic Reset Connect as Administrator and select Epson L3257.

Enter the key and reset
Enter the purchased key, choose Reset and keep the printer connected until completion.
If Epson L3257 is not detected
- Connect the printer directly to the computer. Do not use Wi-Fi, a USB hub, docking station or print server.
- Run Wic Reset Connect as Administrator and keep the internet connection active throughout validation.
- Try another USB port and a known data-capable USB cable if the printer is not detected.
- Install the original Epson driver for L3257; a generic Windows driver may not expose the required communication interface.

What if the first reset attempt fails?
Correct the driver or USB communication problem first. If the key was consumed, use the new-key generator or contact support.
Does the reset clean or replace the ink pads?
No. It changes the stored counter value. Inspect, clean or replace the physical waste ink system when its condition requires it.
Does Epson L3257 need service mode?
No. Epson printers do not use the Canon service-mode sequence. Connect the printer normally by USB.
