Epson ET-2855 Reset Waste Ink Counter
A waste ink counter warning can prevent Epson ET-2855 from printing even when the printer is otherwise working normally. Follow the checks and reset sequence below to restore operation safely.
Why Epson ET-2855 stops printing
Every cleaning cycle sends a small amount of ink to the waste ink system. Epson ET-2855 adds that activity to its counter and displays a maintenance warning when the programmed threshold is reached.
Wic Reset Connect is designed to reset the compatible counter in Epson ET-2855. The physical waste ink system should still be inspected and maintained when necessary.
Reset the counter in Epson ET-2855
The reset normally takes only a few minutes, but the printer must be detected correctly before the key is used.

Install the original driver
Install the official Epson driver for ET-2855 and confirm that Windows can see the printer.

Connect directly by USB
Connect Epson ET-2855 to the computer without Wi-Fi, a hub or an adapter.

Start Wic Reset Connect
Close Epson Status Monitor, run Wic Reset Connect as Administrator and select Epson ET-2855.

Enter the key and reset
Enter the purchased key, choose Reset and keep the printer connected until completion.
If Epson ET-2855 is not detected
- Run Wic Reset Connect as Administrator and keep the internet connection active throughout validation.
- Try another USB port and a known data-capable USB cable if the printer is not detected.
- Install the original Epson driver for ET-2855; a generic Windows driver may not expose the required communication interface.
- Close Epson Status Monitor and any other Epson maintenance software before starting Wic Reset Connect.

Does the reset clean or replace the ink pads?
No. It changes the stored counter value. Inspect, clean or replace the physical waste ink system when its condition requires it.
Does Epson ET-2855 need service mode?
No. Epson printers do not use the Canon service-mode sequence. Connect the printer normally by USB.
Can I reset Epson ET-2855 over Wi-Fi?
No. Wic Reset Connect requires a direct USB connection to the Windows computer.
