Why the ink pad counter blocks Epson ET-2816
Epson ET-2816 uses stored counter data to estimate absorber usage. The estimate may reach its limit before the pads appear completely saturated, but physical maintenance should still be considered.

Reset the counter in Epson ET-2816

Install the original driver
Install the official Epson driver for ET-2816 and confirm that Windows can see the printer.

Connect Epson ET-2816 to the computer without Wi-Fi, a hub or an adapter.

Close Epson Status Monitor, run Wic Reset Connect as Administrator and select Epson ET-2816.

Enter the key and reset
Enter the purchased key, choose Reset and keep the printer connected until completion.

- Run Wic Reset Connect as Administrator and keep the internet connection active throughout validation.
- Clear paused print jobs and restart both the printer and Windows if another program is holding the USB connection.
