Reset the counter in Epson PX-503A
Prepare the computer and connection first. Most unsuccessful attempts are caused by a missing original driver, an indirect USB connection or another Epson utility using the printer.

Install the original driver
Install the official Epson driver for PX-503A and confirm that Windows can see the printer.

Connect directly by USB
Connect Epson PX-503A to the computer without Wi-Fi, a hub or an adapter.

Start Wic Reset Connect
Close Epson Status Monitor, run Wic Reset Connect as Administrator and select Epson PX-503A.

Enter the key and reset
Enter the purchased key, choose Reset and keep the printer connected until completion.
If Epson PX-503A is not detected
- Clear paused print jobs and restart both the printer and Windows if another program is holding the USB connection.
- Close Epson Status Monitor and any other Epson maintenance software before starting Wic Reset Connect.
- Install the original Epson driver for PX-503A; a generic Windows driver may not expose the required communication interface.
- Connect the printer directly to the computer. Do not use Wi-Fi, a USB hub, docking station or print server.

Correct the driver or USB communication problem first. If the key was consumed, use the new-key generator or contact support.
Does Epson PX-503A need service mode?
