Epson L3109 Reset Waste Ink Counter
When Epson L3109 reports that an ink pad needs service, restarting the printer alone normally does not clear the lock. A compatible reset procedure is required.

The printer protects against possible ink overflow by monitoring an internal service counter. On Epson L3109, reaching the threshold can trigger an ink pad warning and block further jobs.

Reset the counter in Epson L3109
The reset normally takes only a few minutes, but the printer must be detected correctly before the key is used.

Install the original driver
Install the official Epson driver for L3109 and confirm that Windows can see the printer.

Connect directly by USB
Connect Epson L3109 to the computer without Wi-Fi, a hub or an adapter.

Start Wic Reset Connect
Close Epson Status Monitor, run Wic Reset Connect as Administrator and select Epson L3109.

Enter the key and reset
Enter the purchased key, choose Reset and keep the printer connected until completion.
If Epson L3109 is not detected
- Run Wic Reset Connect as Administrator and keep the internet connection active throughout validation.
- Connect the printer directly to the computer. Do not use Wi-Fi, a USB hub, docking station or print server.
- Clear paused print jobs and restart both the printer and Windows if another program is holding the USB connection.
- Try another USB port and a known data-capable USB cable if the printer is not detected.

Does the reset clean or replace the ink pads?
No. It changes the stored counter value. Inspect, clean or replace the physical waste ink system when its condition requires it.
What if the first reset attempt fails?
Correct the driver or USB communication problem first. If the key was consumed, use the new-key generator or contact support.
Can I reset Epson L3109 over Wi-Fi?
No. Wic Reset Connect requires a direct USB connection to the Windows computer.
